Kim Varnadore State Farm is seeking a service-oriented and sales-dominant Account Manager who thrives on building long-term relationships, delivering outstanding customer care, and confidently recommending insurance solutions that protect families and businesses.
This role blends high-level service with proactive sales. You will support existing customers, conduct thorough coverage reviews, identify gaps in protection, and convert both warm and cold opportunities into lasting client relationships. Florida Licensing Requirements
This position must meet Florida Department of Financial Services licensing standards.
  • An active Florida 2-20 General Lines (Property & Casualty) license or 4-40 Customer Representative license is required prior to starting in the office.
  • If not currently licensed, you must obtain the appropriate Florida Property & Casualty license before your Day 1 start date.
  • A Florida 2-15 Life, Health & Variable Annuity license must be obtained within 45 days of starting.
Full licensing support, study guidance, and onboarding assistance are provided to help you successfully complete the process.
Role Overview
As an Account Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers while actively driving agency growth. You will combine consultative service with confident sales execution—ensuring clients are properly protected while contributing to production goals.
Key Responsibilities
Grow the Book of Business Proactively market and sell auto, home, renters, and life insurance products to both warm and cold prospects.
Conduct Needs-Based Reviews Perform policy reviews, identify coverage gaps, and recommend tailored solutions that align with client needs.
Deliver Exceptional Service Handle customer inquiries, policy updates, billing questions, and service concerns with professionalism and urgency.
Drive Retention and Referrals Build strong, lasting relationships that increase client loyalty and generate referral opportunities.
Meet and Exceed Goals Track activity, manage pipeline opportunities, and consistently work toward production and performance targets.
Collaborate for Success Work closely with agency leadership and team members to ensure a seamless customer experience and strong overall results.
What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent communication and consultative skills
  • Organized, disciplined, and strong in follow-up
  • Comfortable handling objections and confidently asking for the business
  • Prior insurance, financial services, or sales experience preferred
  • Ability to meet Florida licensing requirements outlined above
